Actually Musu majas un patverums was prepared by an editiorial board Latviesu simtgade Klivlande, 1997-2001. This board was created as a private initiative under sponsorship of Klivlandes lartviesu biedriba,which served as treasurer to collect funds and pay for publishing expenses. On the title page it is clearly stated, that the author of the book is Darba grupa Latviesu Simtgade Klivlande.Editor Arturs Rubenis. Publisher is KLB. Copyright belongs to LSK, not KLB. There is a statement on opposite page to t.p: Darba grupa Latviesu Simtgade Klivlande darbojas Klivlandes Latviesu biedribas pasparne ar VISU Klivlandes latviesu organizaciju atbalstu. Art Rubenis, the editor of Musu majas un patverums.

I note in your description the names of Mgnr Alexander Goldikovskis. In his last days, he befriended my father when they lived together at Gateway Family House. Mgnr Alexander Goldikovskis married my grandparents. I am from Cleveland, Ohio. The News was devastating to me that he died. I found out after the fact that he passed on. I wanted to pay my respects to him. I have met him a few times. When I was Catholic I went to some masses at the church that he was preaching at . I hope that we as Latvian's pay tribute to this man of God and hope that we can dedicate him somehow. My Grandparents really cherished him as a person and a man of God. I would maybe in the future to meet with you Joseph Bellina to see that scrapbook of your's and maybe he wrote about marrying my Grandparents. Both of them are passed on too. I went to the dedication two years ago and had some traditional Latvian Food and heard the speakers. It was a great and inspiring. I hope that they have one next year too.Happy New Year to all.

I seek help from Greater Cleveland's Latvian Community: I'm a Lithuanian-American, a native son of Cleveland, Ohio, a US Army Colonel (Retired), looking for an old childhood friend -- Velda Piterans, daughter of Aloysius & Jadvyga Piterans and older sister of my former longtime childhood friend Vilis (William) Piterans. Velda is the only remaining survivor of this family. My family knew them first when they lived on E 118th & St Clair (and we lived on E 120th), then the Piterans family moved to Warren Rd in downtown Lakewood. I found Vilis's & his parents' gravesites at Sunset Memorial Pk Cemetery; i'm hoping to reestablish contact with Velda.
