Just saw a clip on the glass enclosed walk-out at the top floor of the Sears Tower and want to know if
any Chicago LOL’ers have tried it out?
It’s something like the Grand Canyon one, but to me looks even scarier.

Sveika, Arija,

It just opened this week - I know Andrejs and I haven’t tried it.  Oddly enough, even though I’m a Chicagoan for most of my life, and even though I went to grad school just 2 blocks from it, I’ve never been in the Sears Tower at all!  I’ve been to the observatory in the John Hancock building any number of times, but never the Sears Tower. Although it is the taller building, it has little else of interest in the immediate vicinity - the John Hancock is the second tallest but is right on Michicagn Avenue - shopping, beaches, restaurants, other attractions all around it.

If you come visit, I promise to take you - how’s that?!

It’s a deal, Anita.  Last time I visited your fair city was for a Latvian wedding so long ago I don’t even recognize me in the photos any more.  Back then I did get a chance to have lunch on top of the John Hancock and definitely agree that part of Michigan Avenue has it all.
Now this little glass cage hanging off the Sears Tower with just a glass floor below has to be absolutely thrilling.  If I ever get to Chicago, I would love to test my nerves.
