I used Skype to talk to my Latvian relatives from Canada. It was terrible. Very difficult to hear and it kept cutting out. It would work better over shorter distances.

I have been using Syype for over a year now both from Riga office, very high speed Internet and at home with Mijas DSL. Both have provided excellent quality calls to clients and friend all over the world. We use both Skype out and Skype in where we have listed numbers in California USA, UK, Sweden and Finland. We publish these Skype numbers on our Contact us page. We receive Skype to Skype from clients now several times a day and we actively do business on Skype. We also use USA based Vonage for a flat monthly rate and we have published numbers in USA and UK. Vonage quality is slightly better and uses regular telephone set. Call me sometime to test: rigalatvianet patricialtd It's an excellent communication alternative. But heed the advice... don't cancel the landline... It doesn't always work! Aggressive tempo of ethnic trance marks third album by Auļi
Drum and bagpipe ensemble Auļi occupies a particular niche not just in Latvian music, but in world music in general. Combining drums and bagpipes might not have been the most logical decision, but Auļi has found success and fame for its style and performances.

Ar videoklipu biedrība mudina latviešus celties un iet balsot valodas referendumā
Biedrība “Par latviešu valodu” 9. februārī Rīgā atklāja akciju mudināt latviešus piedalīties 18. februāra referendumā un balsot pret grozījumiem Latvijas satversmē, kas noteiktu krievu valodu kā otro valsts valodu. Akcija ieskaita televīzijas reklāmas videoklipu ar nosaukumu “Celies un ej”, kurā dažādi sabiedrībā pazīstami cilvēki aicina skatītāju piedalīties referendumā.
